The Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau offers residents and visitors alike information about area events and festivals, shopping and dining from casual to formal, and accommodations and attractions. If you’re a visitor to Douglasville, stop by the Douglasville Welcome Center and get expert advice on planning your itinerary and gathering information on interesting stops around town.
The current location of the Douglasville Welcome Center was originally home to Douglasville Banking Company. Built in 1904, the building is beautifully constructed of Chattanooga pressed brick with marble trimming. The Douglasville Welcome Center opened in this building in 2000 and is stocked with not only local information, including area attractions, hotels and upcoming events, but also information for the whole state of Georgia.
In 2010, the Douglasville Welcome Center was named a Georgia Regional Visitor Information Center by the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
